Individually assembled and hand-painted by the artist, attached to a wood base.
The beautifully created figure represents a translation of a past work from 2006, also titled 'Katherine'. Created using a 3D software, Ceccoli approached the process much like a sculptor working with clay or stone. They meticulously shaped the face, body, dress, and intricate lace, dedicating months of collaborative effort with her partner to bring the sculpture to its final form.
Transforming the digital model into a tangible piece of art, they utilized a 3D printer to produce the sculpture in separate parts. These parts required adjustments, sanding, and careful assembly, followed by hand-painting with acrylics to achieve the desired colors. The wooden base, crafted using a lathe, was also painted with acrylics to complement the artwork.
Measuring approximately 40x40 cm, 'Katherine' is available in a limited edition of only five pieces. Each sculpture within this edition boasts a unique dress color, such as pink, cyan, orange, yellow, or green, ensuring that every piece possesses its own distinctiveness and rarity. The work is a precious stunning work of art...
