The title of these two paintings is a play on words, but also references the condition of a contemporary human in this fast-paced world where the peer pressure and social media makes you feel you need to be on top of things every single second. It is easy to lose one's head. I myself stay grounded in my own rose garden, where bees and butterflies are my crown. So these paintings reflect that bittersweet, playful yet deep down serious feeling that is characteristic to my work.
