Brief Description of Artwork:
My "Planktonaut" paintings depict a world where my fantastical planktonic creatures, known as
Planktonauts, inhabit a Microverse. Planktonauts exist in a dreamlike realm that bridges the depths of Earth’s
oceans and the vastness of space. Some of these Planktonauts resemble Earthly organisms, while others are
entirely unique creations from my imagination.

Short Biography:
Robert Steven Connett is a self-taught artist living in Los Angeles, California. His beautifully realized visions of
an unseen world teeming with vibrant and complex lifeforms open windows into a universe we rarely
consider.  Microscopic biological phenomena of the natural world, both flora and fauna, particularly oceanic
origins, provide Connett with bountiful inspirations. Connett masterfully brings a sumptuous and bizarre
underworld into existence.
