- Brief Description of Artwork:
This whimsical painting depicts a fantastical scene in a nighttime forest. Two mythical creatures, a Tanuki and a Kitsune, are about to drink “rainbow sake” from a ceramic vessel. Fireflies light up the darkness, symbolizing hope, guidance, and inner light. A glowing red paper lantern hangs among kudzu leaves, enhancing the surreal atmosphere. This piece combines folklore, fantasy, and traditional East Asian aesthetics, creating a dreamlike narrative.
