Aya Kakeda was born and raised in Tokyo, Japan. She studied art and worked for over 20 years in New York. Now she is back to her home city Tokyo.
She has produced art for books, products, magazines, posters, and store installations from clients all over the world.
Aya Also takes her imaginary friends to travel, exhibiting in galleries and museums throughout the world.
Aya Kakeda was part of the Popland 1.0 & 2.0 exhibition.
