Roberto Rodríguez Redondo (born 1981) is an Asturian artist whose early years were spent in a 1990s underground scene of teens immersed in skateboarding, graffiti, surfing, indie music, and graphic design—cultures that thrived outside the mainstream. After moving to Bilbao in 1999 to study Fine Arts at UPV/EHU, he later directed the creative vision of Alai, a leading European skateboard brand, translating his artistic sensibility into deck graphics and apparel.
Roberto’s restless drive pushes him to constantly evolve, moving fluidly between graphics, illustration, painting, and sculpture. He works on canvas, paper, and wood, layering diverse pop‑culture references—both real and imagined—to create immersive, multi‑dimensional pieces.
Part of a new wave of artists who once lingered on the fringe, Roberto now contributes to a culture that has shifted from marginal to mainstream, even as some still overlook its growing influence.
