Hazel Ang

Hazel Ang is a Canadian‑born artist of Asian descent who now makes her home in Munich, Germany. Trained in both music and graphic design, her practice fuses a rich tapestry of cultural, literary, and spiritual references drawn from her heritage and her Canadian upbringing. While she has recently revived her love for color pencil, she also works with a variety of drawing media and oil, favoring wood as her preferred surface.

From 2002 to 2014 Hazel concentrated on graphic design and technical illustration. A three‑year stint in the United States (2014‑2017) saw her work featured in several group exhibitions and a solo show. Since returning to Germany in 2017, she has been actively exhibiting, participating in art fairs, and curating the interdisciplinary Art & Literature event Arcana.
